Coronavirus Part Two

Perspectives and Resurrections

A MESSAGE OF HOPE

Today is Easter Sunday 2020 and the world populace needs a little hope.  Just as this day symbolizes the resurrection and hope for the future for Christians the world over, this is a day of opportunity for you to change.

There are two general perspectives or point of view that one encounters during this unprecedented time in our world history.  One, the world is going to hell in a hand basket and we are all going to die or, two, the world is perfect for its current state of evolution.  The first perspective is easy for most of us to grasp onto and the second may seem a little odd, very insensitive or down-right ignorant.

Since the first is being reported and expounded upon quite nicely by the media, let’s consider the second with a little critical thinking.

In my FIRST ARTICLE, I referred to Roman’s 12:2, “Do not conform to the patterns of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is (true)…”

In order to discern what is true, I submit a few definitions for your consideration:

FACT:            1.  something that actually exists; reality; truth: Your fears have no basis in fact.  2.  something known to exist or to have happened: Space travel is now a fact.  3.  a truth known by actual experience or observation; something known to be true: Scientists gather facts about plant growth.

TRUTH:         1.  the true, (being in accordance with the actual state or conditions; conforming to reality or fact; not false: a true story.), or actual state of a matter: He tried to find out the truth.  2.  conformity with fact or reality; verity: the truth of a statement.  3.  a verified or indisputable fact, proposition, principle, or the like: mathematical truths.

OPINION:      1.  a belief or judgment that rests on grounds insufficient to produce complete certainty.  2.  a personal view, attitude, or appraisal.

FEAR:            1.  a distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil, pain, etc., whether the threat is real or imagined; the feeling or condition of being afraid.

PANDEMIC: 1. (of a disease) prevalent throughout an entire country, continent, or the whole world; epidemic over a large area.

WHO definition of influenza during and after 2009 A/H1N1 “pandemic”: "An influenza pandemic may occur when a new influenza virus appears against which the human population has no immunity."

CDC description of pandemic during and after 2009 A/H1N1 “pandemic”: "There are some pandemics that look very much like a bad flu season."

Canada definition of pandemic during and after 2009 A/H1N1 “pandemic”: "An influenza pandemic does not necessarily cause more severe illness than seasonal influenza.”

CHANGE:     verb (used with object), changed, chang·ing.  1.  to make the form, nature, content, future course, etc., of (something) different from what it is or from what it would be if left alone: to change one's name;to change one's opinion;to change the course of history. 2.  to transform or convert (usually followed by into): The witch changed the prince into a toad.           noun   3.  the act or fact of changing; fact of being changed: They are pleased by the change in their son's behavior.  4.  a transformation or modification; alteration: They noticed the change in his facial expression.

VIRUS:          1.  an ultramicroscopic (20 to 300 nm in diameter), metabolically inert, infectious agent that replicates only within the cells of living hosts, mainly bacteria, plants, and animals: composed of an RNA or DNA core, a protein coat, and, in more complex types, a surrounding envelope.

Informal. 2.  a corrupting influence on morals or the intellect; poison.

In my previous article I referred to the fact that it matters not how bad and dangerous this virus is, rather how strong and efficient your body’s immune system is in order to be victorious over the virus.  It is so important that you understand this and actually “get it”.

Reference 1 Corinthians 6:19 “…do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God?”  Or we may consider this fact scientifically, from one cell you were birthed nine months later perfectly from your parents.  Brain cells that were different from heart cells, skin cells, muscle cells, bone cells, eye cells, etc.  All in the right place and functioning efficiently and in harmony with each other.  Know that you are truly a miracle.

“Spin” is a term that is used a lot in politics.  A politician or political group may “spin” the “FACTS” to leave an impression that would be more favorable to them.  However, almost everything today is “spun” so as to help you believe or think a certain way.  Be careful: A FACT PLUS AN OPINION DOES NOT ALWAYS EQUAL A TRUTH!

For instance, the definition of PANDEMIC prior to 2009 was:

WHO definition of influenza pandemic before 2009 A/H1N1 “pandemic”: "An influenza pandemic occurs when a new influenza virus appears against which the human population has no immunity, resulting in epidemics worldwide with enormous numbers of deaths and illness."

CDC description of pandemic in 1997 before 2009 A/H1N1 “pandemic’: "The hallmark of pandemic influenza is excess mortality."

Canada definition of pandemic in 2006 before 2009 A/H1N1 “pandemic”: "An influenza pandemic results if many people around the world become ill and die from such a virus."

Notice the current definition of all three sources never mention enormous numbers of deaths.  Certainly, the older generation has been anchored to the previous definition that rightfully will elicit much concern, worry and fear.  However, the teeth have been removed from the definition and we are left with the fear of the old when it is no worse than the annual flu?

Are a lot of people dying from COVID-19?  Yes, the number is high.  When things are put into perspective, not so high.  As of today, 4/12/2020, there have been almost 110,000 deaths worldwide.  A big number yes.  Also, there are almost 1.8 million that have tested positive for the virus.  Just over 6%.  Another high number.  However, there are just under 8 trillion people living on the planet.  Also, most all of the deaths attributed to COVID-19, nearly 100%, had comorbidity or other preexisting illness they were already dying from.  So, the question that needs to be asked, did they die from COVID-19 or what they were already dying from?  It is interesting to note that the World Health Organization 5 days ago stated that even if you suspect the individual had systems of the virus when they died, the official cause of death should be COVID-19.  (Something doesn’t sound right.  Are they trying to increase the numbers to continue to illicit the fear?)

If one can truly access the data, the number of COVID-19 deaths will be found to be much lower than is being promoted.

Consider this, there are very vulnerable people in the world and very un-vulnerable people.  50% of those infected have no symptoms.  30% have very mild symptoms.  15% have moderate to more severe symptoms and only 5% actually are severe.  Guess what, the majority of that 5% have other preexisting severe health problems.

So, from my first article, do you want to be in the 5% or in the other 95%?  It is best if you are in the top 50% but the top 95% would be better than the 5%.  The 5% is the most vulnerable, the 15% is less vulnerable and the 80% is the least vulnerable.  Check out what you can do right now to move into or stay in the Least Vulnerable category.

WHAT IF?

The best fact we have is the Wuhan Virus was discovered the middle to the end of November 2019.  The Chinese government tried to cover it up and the World first learned of it the end of the year or the first of the year.  What if it had been around a lot longer than that?  It makes sense that an individual with strange symptoms would not immediately have a doctor “discover” this new virus and raise a warning flag.  In fact, it would seem more probable that this doctor would have observed many similar patients with these odd symptoms prior to his “discovery” of this new virus.

What if prior to this discovery, possibly many months, hundreds of thousands of people traveled in and out of Wuhan, in and around China, in fact hundreds of thousands around the world?  What if this virus has been in your neighborhood since the end of 2019?  What if you have already been exposed and in fact, have already had the virus?

What if that were true?  If the virus is as bad as it is being promoted to be, why are you not already dead?

January 2020

January was an interesting month in our practice.  There were numerous patients that were “sick” with the flu.  Some of them quite sick.  The interesting thing was, they didn’t have the flu.  They had been tested for different types of the flu and it was negative.  They were tested for pneumonia and again negative.  All of their symptoms were exactly those of the Coronavirus.  When they learned about the COVID-19 everyone said, “that’s what I had”.  Good luck trying to convince them otherwise.  They are certain.

Latch onto 1 Corinthians 6:19 and know that you have an amazing body.  It is designed to identify and fight a whole host of germs, bacteria and viruses.  But we are being told this is a new strain and it will wipe out millions of people.  So, what if it is a new strain.  Your body has this.  It was designed for this.  How can you think otherwise?

This is one solitary little virus that your body is more than capable of disposing of.  Want some evidence?  There was a time in your life when you were exposed to thousands of these little things, a firehose effect, all at the same time.  When you were delivered into this world your immune system had to fight off all these little enemy’s.  Did you survive?  I would think so.

Our body’s do this battle every day, minute to minute and we win.  In fact, you have won this battle millions of times in your life.  Do you really think this little virus is going to end your live?  It may if you are among the most vulnerable.

Where Is Your Foundation?

In Romans 12:2 we are commanded; “Do not conform to the patterns of this world…”  If your foundation is built upon the trust of medicines, drugs, governments, vaccines, the media; you will be bounced around without an anchor.  If on the other hand, as in 1 Corinthians 6:19, your foundation is upon the trust that the power that made the body heals and protects the body, then you are on a firm foundation.

Has anyone ever died from a snake bite?  I would contend no, however poisonous the snake.  They die from the venom the snake leaves behind from the bite.  This is a virus, just like the snake bite, but the poison, that is fear.

The fear courses through our bodies like the venom.  Continually watching the news, the numbers, the deaths, without having all the facts, can tip the less vulnerable into the most vulnerable.  We are further commanded in Romans 12:2, “…but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is (true)…”

Turn the TV off, go outside and get some fresh air and sunshine.  Take deep breathes of that fresh air.  That’s the best remedy.

Our world has changed overnight, have you?  Do you want the world to go back to the way it was?  A person on a diet can’t wait to lose the “pounds” so they can go back to eating the way they were and wonder why the weight comes back.

AN OPPORTUNITY OF CHANGE

Just as Baptism symbolizes the death of your old body into the birth of your new body spiritually through Jesus, many people are making positive changes with their physical body.  Eating better, exercising, going for walks, stopped smoking, communicating more meaningfully with family and friends.  Seize this opportunity of change for yourself.

Fear not.  Do not be afraid.  Release the fear of the “pattern of this world” and embrace the promise of being “transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

On this Easter Sunday, let us remember not the death of Jesus, but rather the hope that his resurrection has given us.  Let us take that hope and embrace a good and meaningful change within.  Know that God made us whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious, happy and healthy.

Enjoy a very blessed day.
